Although men have always been allowed to attend the same program as the women, we came to recognize that many of their issues were unique , and that they needed a safe place of their own to be able to verbalize these issues and work through them.
As a result, Rev Mariusz Koch, CFR, Rev George Stewart, and I, with the help of some of the men from the ministry, developed a retreat day geared specifically to men. It has been phenomenal to watch, as men reclaim their fatherhood and are given the opportunity to share with one another their pain of loosing a child to abortion.
In the same format as the "Days of Prayer & Healing" but with a focus on fatherhood, Fr Mariusz Koch, CFR, along with post abortive men who have attended the ministry lead the day, which consists of a testimony by a post abortive man, talks by the priests, a film on post abortion, and a chance to share with one another.
The opportunity for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass are also available.
